A downdraft finishing system is an enclosure that produces a draft pattern which descends from the ceiling to the floor before exhausting out a concrete pit. Since air is drawn around the vehicle and exhausted underneath, it pulls overspray and contaminants downward and away from painter and finish. This ensures painter health and the highest quality finish. Downdraft booths can be made either with a concrete pit or on a raised steel basement with drive-up ramps to prevent the expense of concrete work. This style booth is the cleanest and most efficient option available. See more on our blog post about Types of Finishing Systems.
